Psalms 77:5

⁹Awake, awake, put on strength, arm of the LORD! Awake, as in the days of old, the generations of ancient times. Isn’t it you who cut Rahab in pieces, who pierced the monster?

⁷Remember the days of old. Consider the years of many generations. Ask your father, and he will show you; your elders, and they will tell you.

⁵I remember the days of old. I meditate on all your doings. I contemplate the work of your hands.

¹We have heard with our ears, God; our fathers have told us what work you did in their days, in the days of old.

⁹In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them. In his love and in his pity he redeemed them. He bore them, and carried them all the days of old. ¹⁰But they rebelled and grieved his Holy Spirit. Therefore he turned and became their enemy, and he himself fought against them. ¹¹Then he remembered the days of old, Moses and his people, saying, “Where is he who brought them up out of the sea with the shepherds of his flock? Where is he who put his Holy Spirit among them?” ¹²Who caused his glorious arm to be at Moses’ right hand? Who divided the waters before them, to make himself an everlasting name? ¹³Who led them through the depths, like a horse in the wilderness, so that they didn’t stumble? ¹⁴As the livestock that go down into the valley, the LORD’s Spirit caused them to rest. So you led your people to make yourself a glorious name. ¹⁵Look down from heaven, and see from the habitation of your holiness and of your glory. Where are your zeal and your mighty acts? The yearning of your heart and your compassion is restrained toward me.

¹²Yet God is my King of old, working salvation throughout the earth. ¹³You divided the sea by your strength. You broke the heads of the sea monsters in the waters. ¹⁴You broke the heads of Leviathan in pieces. You gave him as food to people and desert creatures. ¹⁵You opened up spring and stream. You dried up mighty rivers. ¹⁶The day is yours, the night is also yours. You have prepared the light and the sun. ¹⁷You have set all the boundaries of the earth. You have made summer and winter. ¹⁸Remember this, that the enemy has mocked you, LORD. Foolish people have blasphemed your name.

¹⁴Shepherd your people with your staff, the flock of your heritage, who dwell by themselves in a forest. Let them feed in the middle of fertile pasture land, in Bashan and Gilead, as in the days of old. ¹⁵“As in the days of your coming out of the land of Egypt, I will show them marvelous things.”
