Psalms 118:5

¹⁹He brought me out also into a large place. He delivered me, because he delighted in me.

⁶In my distress I called on the LORD, and cried to my God. He heard my voice out of his temple. My cry before him came into his ears.

¹In my distress, I cried to the LORD. He answered me.

¹⁹Then they cry to the LORD in their trouble, and he saves them out of their distresses.

¹Out of the depths I have cried to you, LORD.²Lord, ^[+] hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my petitions.

⁸You have not shut me up into the hand of the enemy. You have set my feet in a large place.

¹³Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses.

¹I waited patiently for the LORD. He turned to me, and heard my cry. ²He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay. He set my feet on a rock, and gave me a firm place to stand. ³He has put a new song in my mouth, even praise to our God. Many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.

⁶David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the souls of all the people were grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters; but David strengthened himself in the LORD his God. ⁷David said to Abiathar the priest, the son of Ahimelech, “Please bring the ephod here to me.” Abiathar brought the ephod to David.

⁸David inquired of the LORD, saying, “If I pursue after this troop, will I overtake them?” He answered him, “Pursue, for you will surely overtake them, and will without fail recover all.”

³The cords of death surrounded me, the pains of Sheol^[+] a hold of me. I found trouble and sorrow. ⁴Then I called on the LORD’s name: “LORD, I beg you, deliver my soul.”
