Proverbs 21:28

¹³But having the same spirit of faith, according to that which is written, “I believed, and therefore I spoke.”We also believe, and therefore we also speak,

⁵A false witness shall not be unpunished. He who pours out lies shall not go free.

⁹A false witness shall not be unpunished. He who utters lies shall perish.

¹⁶If an unrighteous witness rises up against any man to testify against him of wrongdoing, ¹⁷then both the men, between whom the controversy is, shall stand before the LORD, before the priests and the judges who shall be in those days; ¹⁸and the judges shall make diligent inquisition; and behold, if the witness is a false witness, and has testified falsely against his brother, ¹⁹then you shall do to him as he had thought to do to his brother. So you shall remove the evil from among you.

¹⁹a false witness who utters lies, and he who sows discord among brothers.

¹⁷When I therefore planned this, did I show fickleness? Or the things that I plan, do I plan according to the flesh, that with me there should be the “Yes, yes” and the “No, no?” ¹⁸But as God is faithful, our word toward you was not “Yes and no.” ¹⁹For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us—by me, Silvanus, and Timothy—was not “Yes and no,” but in him is “Yes.” ²⁰For however many are the promises of God, in him is the “Yes.” Therefore also through him is the “Amen”, to the glory of God through us.

¹⁵They said to her, “You are crazy!” But she insisted that it was so. They said, “It is his angel.”

¹“You shall not spread a false report. Don’t join your hand with the wicked to be a malicious witness.

¹⁸A man who gives false testimony against his neighbor is like a club, a sword, or a sharp arrow.

⁸This saying is faithful, and concerning these things I desire that you insist confidently, so that those who have believed God may be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men;
