Proverbs 6:19

⁵A false witness shall not be unpunished. He who pours out lies shall not go free.

¹⁴in whose heart is perverseness, who devises evil continually, who always sows discord.

¹⁸Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

¹²Don’t deliver me over to the desire of my adversaries, for false witnesses have risen up against me, such as breathe out cruelty.

⁹A false witness shall not be unpunished. He who utters lies shall perish.

¹⁸A man who gives false testimony against his neighbor is like a club, a sword, or a sharp arrow.

¹⁶If an unrighteous witness rises up against any man to testify against him of wrongdoing, ¹⁷then both the men, between whom the controversy is, shall stand before the LORD, before the priests and the judges who shall be in those days; ¹⁸and the judges shall make diligent inquisition; and behold, if the witness is a false witness, and has testified falsely against his brother, ¹⁹then you shall do to him as he had thought to do to his brother. So you shall remove the evil from among you. ²⁰Those who remain shall hear, and fear, and will never again commit any such evil among you.

¹⁴But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, don’t boast and don’t lie against the truth. ¹⁵This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, sensual, and demonic. ¹⁶For where jealousy and selfish ambition are, there is confusion and every evil deed.

²⁰For lack of wood a fire goes out. Without gossip, a quarrel dies down.

¹³and set up false witnesses who said, “This man never stops speaking blasphemous words against this holy place and the law.
