Matthew 8:25

⁶So the ship master came to him, and said to him, “What do you mean, sleeper? Arise, call on your God!^[+] your God^[+] will notice us, so that we won’t perish.”

²²Yes, for your sake we are killed all day long. We are regarded as sheep for the slaughter. ²³Wake up! Why do you sleep, Lord?Arise! Don’t reject ^[+] us forever.

¹¹Asa cried to the LORD his God, and said, “LORD, there is no one besides you to help, between the mighty and him who has no strength. Help us, LORD our God; for we rely on you, and in your name are we come against this multitude. LORD, you are our God. Don’t let man prevail against you.”

³⁸He himself was in the stern, asleep on the cushion; and they woke him up and asked him, “Teacher, don’t you care that we are dying?”

³⁹He awoke and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” The wind ceased and there was a great calm.

²⁴They came to him and awoke him, saying, “Master, Master, we are dying!” He awoke and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water; then they ceased, and it was calm.

⁹Awake, awake, put on strength, arm of the LORD! Awake, as in the days of old, the generations of ancient times. Isn’t it you who cut Rahab in pieces, who pierced the monster? ¹⁰Isn’t it you who dried up the sea, the waters of the great deep; who made the depths of the sea a way for the redeemed to pass over?

¹²Our God, will you not judge them? For we have no might against this great company that comes against us. We don’t know what to do, but our eyes are on you.”

¹Why do you stand far off, LORD? Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble?
