Psalms 6:9

¹⁹But most certainly, God has listened. He has heard the voice of my prayer. ²⁰Blessed be God, who has not turned away my prayer, nor his loving kindness from me.

¹In my distress, I cried to the LORD. He answered me.

⁸Concerning this thing, I begged the Lord three times that it might depart from me. ⁹He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me.

¹⁰Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, and in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then am I strong.

⁵Out of my distress, I called on the LORD.^[+] The LORD^[+] answered me with freedom.

¹I waited patiently for the LORD. He turned to me, and heard my cry. ²He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay. He set my feet on a rock, and gave me a firm place to stand.

³In the day that I called, you answered me. You encouraged me with strength in my soul.

⁷“When my soul fainted within me, I remembered the LORD. My prayer came in to you, into your holy temple.

¹⁰who delivered us out of so great a death, and does deliver, on whom we have set our hope that he will also still deliver us, ¹¹you also helping together on our behalf by your supplication; that, for the gift given to us by means of many, thanks may be given by many persons on your^[+] behalf.

⁴I cry to the LORD with my voice, and he answers me out of his holy hill. Selah.

^1[+] I love the LORD,^[+] because he listens to my voice, and my cries for mercy. ²Because he has turned his ear to me, therefore I will call on him as long as I live.
