Psalms 119:34

²⁴“Everyone therefore who hears these words of mine and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock.

⁵But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

⁵then you will understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God. ^6[+] For the LORD gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding.

⁷³Your hands have made me and formed me. Give me understanding, that I may learn your commandments.

²⁵But he who looks into the perfect law of freedom and continues, not being a hearer who forgets but a doer of the work, this man will be blessed in what he does.

⁸However, if you fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,”you do well. ⁹But if you show partiality, you commit sin, being convicted by the law as transgressors. ¹⁰For whoever keeps the whole law, and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all. ¹¹For he who said, “Do not commit adultery,”also said, “Do not commit murder.”Now if you do not commit adultery but do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law. ¹²So speak and so do as men who are to be judged by the law of freedom.

⁶⁹The proud have smeared a lie upon me. With my whole heart, I will keep your precepts.

¹⁷If anyone desires to do his will, he will know about the teaching, whether it is from God or if I am speaking from myself.

¹³Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by his good conduct that his deeds are done in gentleness of wisdom. ¹⁴But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, don’t boast and don’t lie against the truth. ¹⁵This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, sensual, and demonic. ¹⁶For where jealousy and selfish ambition are, there is confusion and every evil deed. ¹⁷But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. ¹⁸Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

¹⁹Therefore, whoever shall break one of these least commandments and teach others to do so, shall be called least in the Kingdom of Heaven; but whoever shall do and teach them shall be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.
