Matthew 13:21

⁶Blessed is he who finds no occasion for stumbling in me.”

⁸For if these things are yours and abound, they make you to not be idle or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. ⁹For he who lacks these things is blind, seeing only what is near, having forgotten the cleansing from his old sins.

¹⁷that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, to the end that you, being rooted and grounded in love,

⁴“Ephraim, what shall I do to you? Judah, what shall I do to you? For your love is like a morning cloud, and like the dew that disappears early.

²⁸If you say, ‘How we will persecute him!’ because the root of the matter is found in me,

³A man shall not be established by wickedness, but the root of the righteous shall not be moved.

⁵I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me and I in him bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. ⁶If a man doesn’t remain in me, he is thrown out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them, throw them into the fire, and they are burned. ⁷If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you.

²⁵He who loves his life will lose it. He who hates his life in this world will keep it to eternal life. ²⁶If anyone serves me, let him follow me. Where I am, there my servant will also be. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.

³The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit. He has ceased to be wise and to do good.

¹²“Brother will deliver up brother to death, and the father his child. Children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death. ¹³You will be hated by all men for my name’s sake, but he who endures to the end will be saved.
