Proverbs 12:3

²⁵When the whirlwind passes, the wicked is no more; but the righteous stand firm forever.

¹⁷that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, to the end that you, being rooted and grounded in love,

¹²The wicked desires the plunder of evil men, but the root of the righteous flourishes.

⁷rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, even as you were taught, abounding in it in thanksgiving.

¹Those who trust in the LORD are as Mount Zion, which can’t be moved, but remains forever. ²As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds his people from this time forward and forever more.

¹⁶Though he heap up silver as the dust, and prepare clothing as the clay; ¹⁷he may prepare it, but the just will put it on, and the innocent will divide the silver. ¹⁸He builds his house as the moth, as a booth which the watchman makes.

⁵that the triumphing of the wicked is short, the joy of the godless but for a moment? ⁶Though his height mount up to the heavens, and his head reach to the clouds, ⁷yet he will perish forever like his own dung. Those who have seen him will say, ‘Where is he?’ ⁸He will fly away as a dream, and will not be found. Yes, he will be chased away like a vision of the night. ⁹The eye which saw him will see him no more, neither will his place see him any more.

³I have seen the foolish taking root, but suddenly I cursed his habitation. ⁴His children are far from safety. They are crushed in the gate. Neither is there any to deliver them, ⁵whose harvest the hungry eat up, and take it even out of the thorns. The snare gapes for their substance.

⁵he who doesn’t lend out his money for usury, nor take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things shall never be shaken.

³³Blessed is your discretion, and blessed are you, who have kept me today from blood guiltiness, and from avenging myself with my own hand.
