Luke 7:35

³²“Now therefore, my sons, listen to me, for blessed are those who keep my ways. ³³Hear instruction, and be wise. Don’t refuse it. ³⁴Blessed is the man who hears me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at my door posts. ³⁵For whoever finds me finds life, and will obtain favor from the LORD. ³⁶But he who sins against me wrongs his own soul. All those who hate me love death.”

¹⁹The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Behold, a gluttonous man and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’ But wisdom is justified by her children.”

⁹Who is wise, that he may understand these things? Who is prudent, that he may know them? For the ways of the LORD are right, and the righteous walk in them, but the rebellious stumble in them.

¹⁴Now the natural man doesn’t receive the things of God’s Spirit, for they are foolishness to him; and he can’t know them, because they are spiritually discerned. ¹⁵But he who is spiritual discerns all things, and he himself is to be judged by no one.

¹⁶Why is there money in the hand of a fool to buy wisdom, since he has no understanding?

²⁹When all the people and the tax collectors heard this, they declared God to be just, having been baptized with John’s baptism.
