Job 9:8

²⁴The LORD, your Redeemer, and he who formed you from the womb says: “I am the LORD, who makes all things; who alone stretches out the heavens; who spreads out the earth by myself;

²²It is he who sits above the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers; who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in,

²He covers himself with light as with a garment. He stretches out the heavens like a curtain. ³He lays the beams of his rooms in the waters. He makes the clouds his chariot. He walks on the wings of the wind.

¹⁸Can you, with him, spread out the sky, which is strong as a cast metal mirror?

¹A revelation of the LORD’s word concerning Israel: The LORD, who stretches out the heavens and lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him says:

¹¹“You shall say this to them: ‘The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth will perish from the earth, and from under the heavens.’”

²⁵In the fourth watch of the night,^[+] Jesus came to them, walking on the sea.²⁶When the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It’s a ghost!” and they cried out for fear. ²⁷But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Cheer up! It is I! Don’t ^[+] be afraid.”

²⁸Peter answered him and said, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the waters.”

²⁹He said, “Come!” Peter stepped down from the boat and walked on the waters to come to Jesus.

³⁰But when he saw that the wind was strong, he was afraid, and beginning to sink, he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!”

⁶By the LORD’s word, the heavens were made: all their army by the breath of his mouth.

¹¹and said, ‘You may come here, but no further. Your proud waves shall be stopped here’?

¹⁹When therefore they had rowed about twenty-five or thirty stadia,^[+] they saw Jesus walking on the seaand drawing near to the boat; and they were afraid.
