Job 37:18

²⁴The LORD, your Redeemer, and he who formed you from the womb says: “I am the LORD, who makes all things; who alone stretches out the heavens; who spreads out the earth by myself;

²He covers himself with light as with a garment. He stretches out the heavens like a curtain.

⁸He made the basin of bronze, and its base of bronze, out of the mirrors of the ministering women who ministered at the door of the Tent of Meeting.

²²It is he who sits above the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers; who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in,

⁶God said, “Let there be an expanse in the middle of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.” ⁷God made the expanse, and divided the waters which were under the expanse from the waters which were above the expanse; and it was so. ⁸God called the expanse “sky”. There was evening and there was morning, a second day.

⁴Praise him, you heavens of heavens, you waters that are above the heavens. ⁵Let them praise the LORD’s name, for he commanded, and they were created. ⁶He has also established them forever and ever. He has made a decree which will not pass away.

⁸He alone stretches out the heavens, and treads on the waves of the sea. ⁹He makes the Bear, Orion, and the Pleiades, and the rooms of the south.

^1[+] Praise the LORD!^[+] Praise God in his sanctuary! Praise him in his heavens for his acts of power!

²⁷When he established the heavens, I was there. When he set a circle on the surface of the deep,

¹²Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and marked off the sky with his span, and calculated the dust of the earth in a measuring basket, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?
