Job 38:11

⁹You rule the pride of the sea. When its waves rise up, you calm them.

²⁹when he gave to the sea its boundary, that the waters should not violate his commandment, when he marked out the foundations of the earth,

⁶By your power, you form the mountains, having armed yourself with strength. ⁷You still the roaring of the seas, the roaring of their waves, and the turmoil of the nations.

³⁹He awoke and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” The wind ceased and there was a great calm. ⁴⁰He said to them, “Why are you so afraid? How is it that you have no faith?”

⁴¹They were greatly afraid and said to one another, “Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?”

³²Now there was there a herd of many pigs feeding on the mountain, and they begged him that he would allow them to enter into those. Then he allowed them. ³³The demons came out of the man and entered into the pigs, and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and were drowned.

⁸In measure, when you send them away, you contend with them. He has removed them with his rough blast in the day of the east wind.

⁶The LORD said to Satan, “Behold, he is in your hand. Only spare his life.”

³The floods have lifted up, LORD, the floods have lifted up their voice. The floods lift up their waves. ⁴Above the voices of many waters, the mighty breakers of the sea, the LORD on high is mighty.

¹⁰Surely the wrath of man praises you. The survivors of your wrath are restrained.

²²In all this, Job didn’t sin, nor charge God with wrongdoing.
