Job 31:15

³¹He who oppresses the poor shows contempt for his Maker, but he who is kind to the needy honors him.

¹⁹He doesn’t respect the persons of princes, nor respect the rich more than the poor, for they all are the work of his hands.

¹⁰Don’t we all have one father? Hasn’t one God created us? Why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, profaning the covenant of our fathers?

²The rich and the poor have this in common: The LORD is the maker of them all.

⁸“‘Your hands have framed me and fashioned me altogether, yet you destroy me. ⁹Remember, I beg you, that you have fashioned me as clay. Will you bring me into dust again? ¹⁰Haven’t you poured me out like milk, and curdled me like cheese? ¹¹You have clothed me with skin and flesh, and knit me together with bones and sinews. ¹²You have granted me life and loving kindness. Your visitation has preserved my spirit.

⁷Isn’t it to distribute your bread to the hungry, and that you bring the poor who are cast out to your house? When you see the naked, that you cover him; and that you not hide yourself from your own flesh?

³Is it good to you that you should oppress, that you should despise the work of your hands, and smile on the counsel of the wicked?

¹⁴I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well. ¹⁵My frame wasn’t hidden from you, when I was made in secret, woven together in the depths of the earth. ¹⁶Your eyes saw my body. In your book they were all written, the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there were none of them.

⁵Yet now our flesh is as the flesh of our brothers, our children as their children. Behold, ^[+] we bring our sons and our daughters into bondage to be servants, and some of our daughters have been brought into bondage. It is also not in our power to help it, because other men have our fields and our vineyards.”
