Job 25:4

¹Being therefore justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ;

³If you, LORD,^[+] kept a record of sins, Lord, who could stand?

²“Truly I know that it is so, but how can man be just with God?

¹⁷‘Shall mortal man be more just than God? Shall a man be more pure than his Maker? ¹⁸Behold, he puts no trust in his servants. He charges his angels with error. ¹⁹How much more those who dwell in houses of clay, whose foundation is in the dust, who are crushed before the moth!

¹⁴What is man, that he should be clean? What is he who is born of a woman, that he should be righteous? ¹⁵Behold, he puts no trust in his holy ones. Yes, the heavens are not clean in his sight; ¹⁶how much less one who is abominable and corrupt, a man who drinks iniquity like water!

²Don’t enter into judgment with your servant, for in your sight no man living is righteous.

⁵Behold, I was born in iniquity. My mother conceived me in sin.

⁵and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us, and washed us from our sins by his blood—

⁹If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

³Do you open your eyes on such a one, and bring me into judgment with you? ⁴Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? Not one.
