Job 24:15

¹¹He says in his heart, “God has forgotten. He hides his face. He will never see it.”

⁹in the twilight, in the evening of the day, in the middle of the night and in the darkness. ¹⁰Behold, there a woman met him with the attire of a prostitute, and with crafty intent.

³²He who commits adultery with a woman is void of understanding. He who does it destroys his own soul. ³³He will get wounds and dishonor. His reproach will not be wiped away. ³⁴For jealousy arouses the fury of the husband. He won’t spare in the day of vengeance. ³⁵He won’t regard any ransom, neither will he rest content, though you give many gifts.

⁹Then he said to me, “The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceedingly great, and the land is full of blood, and the city full of perversion; for they say, ‘The LORD has forsaken the land, and the LORD doesn’t see.’

¹²Then he said to me, “Son of man, have you seen what the elders of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in his rooms of imagery? For they say, ‘The LORD doesn’t see us. The LORD has forsaken the land.’”

⁷They say, “The LORD^[+] will not see, neither will Jacob’s God consider.”

¹⁴“You shall not commit adultery.

¹⁴She took off the garments of her widowhood, and covered herself with her veil, and wrapped herself, and sat in the gate of Enaim, which is on the way to Timnah; for she saw that Shelah was grown up, and she wasn’t given to him as a wife. ¹⁵When Judah saw her, he thought that she was a prostitute, for she had covered her face.

¹²For you did this secretly, but I will do this thing before all Israel, and before the sun.’”

¹⁸When you saw a thief, you consented with him, and have participated with adulterers.
