Proverbs 6:32

⁷I saw among the simple ones. I discerned among the youths a young man void of understanding,

²²He followed her immediately, as an ox goes to the slaughter, as a fool stepping into a noose. ²³Until an arrow strikes through his liver, as a bird hurries to the snare, and doesn’t know that it will cost his life.

⁴Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers.

²²Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, ²³and traded the glory of the incorruptible God for the likeness of an image of corruptible man, and of birds, four-footed animals, and creeping things. ²⁴Therefore God also gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to uncleanness, that their bodies should be dishonored among themselves;

²⁵I turned around, and my heart sought to know and to search out, and to seek wisdom and the scheme of things, and to know that wickedness is stupidity, and that foolishness is madness.

²⁶I find more bitter than death the woman whose heart is snares and traps, whose hands are chains. Whoever pleases God shall escape from her; but the sinner will be ensnared by her.

¹⁸for her house leads down to death, her paths to the departed spirits. ¹⁹None who go to her return again, neither do they attain to the paths of life.

⁹No one is greater in this house than I am, and he has not kept back anything from me but you, because you are his wife. How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?”

¹⁰As she spoke to Joseph day by day, he didn’t listen to her, to lie by her, or to be with her.

³⁹Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Because God has shown you all of this, there is no one so discreet and wise as you.

¹⁴“You shall not commit adultery.

⁸They were as fed horses roaming at large. Everyone neighed after his neighbor’s wife.
