Job 14:14

⁵¹Behold,^[+] I tell you a mystery. We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, ⁵²in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we will be changed.

¹“Isn’t a man forced to labor on earth? Aren’t his days like the days of a hired hand?

⁸Why is it judged incredible with you if God does raise the dead?

¹³The sea gave up the dead who were in it. Death and Hades^[+] gave up the dead who were in them. They were judged, each one according to his works.

¹⁴Wait for the LORD. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for the LORD.

²⁸Don’t marvel at this, for the hour comes in which all who are in the tombs will hear his voice ²⁹and will come out; those who have done good, to the resurrection of life; and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of judgment.

²¹who will change the body of our humiliation to be conformed to the body of his glory, according to the working by which he is able even to subject all things to himself.

¹⁵Behold, he will kill me. I have no hope. Nevertheless, I will maintain my ways before him.

¹⁶After this Job lived one hundred forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons’ sons, to four generations.

²⁹But Jesus answered them, “You are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God. ³⁰For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like God’s angels in heaven. ³¹But concerning the resurrection of the dead, haven’t you read that which was spoken to you by God, saying, ³²‘I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’?God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.”
