Job 11:18

²⁴When you lie down, you will not be afraid. Yes, you will lie down, and your sleep will be sweet. ²⁵Don’t be afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it comes; ²⁶for the LORD will be your confidence, and will keep your foot from being taken.

⁵I laid myself down and slept. I awakened, for the LORD sustains me.

⁵Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him: my Savior, my helper, and my God.

⁸In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you alone, LORD, make me live in safety.

⁵Your threshing shall continue until the vintage, and the vintage shall continue until the sowing time. You shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.

⁶“‘I will give peace in the land, and you shall lie down, and no one will make you afraid. I will remove evil animals out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land.

³Not only this, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces perseverance; ⁴and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; ⁵and hope doesn’t disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

⁶My days are swifter than a weaver’s shuttle, and are spent without hope.

³²The wicked is brought down in his calamity, but in death, the righteous has a refuge.

²⁷You will make your prayer to him, and he will hear you. You will pay your vows. ²⁸You will also decree a thing, and it will be established to you. Light will shine on your ways. ²⁹When they cast down, you will say, ‘be lifted up.’ He will save the humble person.

¹¹What is my strength, that I should wait? What is my end, that I should be patient?
