Job 22:27

⁹Then you will call, and the LORD will answer. You will cry for help, and he will say, ‘Here I am.’ “If you take away from among you the yoke, finger pointing, and speaking wickedly;

^1[+] I love the LORD,^[+] because he listens to my voice, and my cries for mercy.

¹⁴This is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. ¹⁵And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him.

¹⁵He will call on me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him, and honor him.

¹⁴Offer to God the sacrifice of thanksgiving. Pay your vows to the Most High. ¹⁵Call on me in the day of trouble. I will deliver you, and you will honor me.”

²⁶He prays to God, and he is favorable to him, so that he sees his face with joy. He restores to man his righteousness.

¹⁷I cried to him with my mouth. He was extolled with my tongue. ¹⁸If I cherished sin in my heart, the Lord wouldn’t have listened. ¹⁹But most certainly, God has listened. He has heard the voice of my prayer. ²⁰Blessed be God, who has not turned away my prayer, nor his loving kindness from me.

²⁸so that they caused the cry of the poor to come to him. He heard the cry of the afflicted.

¹³I will come into your temple with burnt offerings. I will pay my vows to you, ¹⁴which my lips promised, and my mouth spoke, when I was in distress.

⁴When you vow a vow to God, don’t defer to pay it; for he has no pleasure in fools. Pay that which you vow.
