Jeremiah 10:16

⁹For the LORD’s portion is his people. Jacob is the lot of his inheritance.

¹⁸You show loving kindness to thousands, and repay the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them. The great, the mighty God, the LORD of Armies is your name:

³⁵The LORD, who gives the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, who stirs up the sea, so that its waves roar— the LORD of Armies is his name, says:

¹²God has made the earth by his power. He has established the world by his wisdom, and by his understanding has he stretched out the heavens.

²Remember your congregation, which you purchased of old, which you have redeemed to be the tribe of your inheritance: Mount Zion, in which you have lived.

¹⁹The portion of Jacob is not like these, for he formed all things, including the tribe of his inheritance. The LORD of Armies is his name.

⁵⁷The LORD is my portion. I promised to obey your words.

⁴For the LORD^[+] has chosen Jacob for himself, Israel for his own possession.

²⁴“The LORD is my portion,” says my soul. “Therefore I will hope in him.”

³⁴Their Redeemer is strong. The LORD of Armies is his name. He will thoroughly plead their cause, that he may give rest to the earth, and disquiet the inhabitants of Babylon.
