Genesis 30:2

²Sarai said to Abram, “See now, the LORD has restrained me from bearing. Please go in to my servant. It may be that I will obtain children by her.” Abram listened to the voice of Sarai.

⁷When the king of Israel had read the letter, he tore his clothes and said, “Am I God, to kill and to make alive, that this man sends to me to heal a man of his leprosy? But please consider and see how he seeks a quarrel against me.”

³Behold, children are a heritage of the LORD. The fruit of the womb is his reward.

⁵but he gave a double portion to Hannah, for he loved Hannah, but the LORD had shut up her womb.

³⁶Jacob was angry, and argued with Laban. Jacob answered Laban, “What is my trespass? What is my sin, that you have hotly pursued me?

¹⁹Joseph said to them, “Don’t be afraid, for am I in the place of God?

²⁶“Be angry, and don’t sin.”t let the sun go down on your wrath,

⁵Those who were full have hired themselves out for bread. Those who were hungry are satisfied. Yes, the barren has borne seven. She who has many children languishes. ⁶“The LORD kills and makes alive. He brings down to Sheol^[+] and brings up.

⁵When he had looked around at them with anger, being grieved at the hardening of their hearts, he said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He stretched it out, and his hand was restored as healthy as the other.

¹⁹As soon as he came near to the camp, he saw the calf and the dancing. Then Moses’ anger grew hot, and he threw the tablets out of his hands, and broke them beneath the mountain.
