2 Samuel 22:6

⁶The cords of Sheol^[+] were around me. The snares of death caught me.

⁶The sorrows^[+] of hell compassed me about; the snares of death prevented me;

⁶The cords of Sheol entangled me; the snares of death confronted me.

⁶The grave wound its ropes around me; death set snares for me.

³The cords of death surrounded me, the pains of Sheol^[+] a hold of me. I found trouble and sorrow.

²He said, “I called because of my affliction to the LORD. He answered me. Out of the belly of Sheol^[+] I cried. You heard my voice.

⁸If they are bound in fetters, and are taken in the cords of afflictions,

¹⁴The teaching of the wise is a spring of life, to turn from the snares of death.

⁵The cords of Sheol^[+] were around me. The snares of death came on me.

²⁴whom God raised up, having freed him from the agony of death, because it was not possible that he should be held by it.

²⁷The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, turning people from the snares of death.

²²The evil deeds of the wicked ensnare him. The cords of his sin hold him firmly.

⁵The proud have hidden a snare for me, they have spread the cords of a net by the path. They have set traps for me. Selah.
