Romans 5:13

¹⁵For the law produces wrath; for where there is no law, neither is there disobedience.

⁵⁶The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.

⁴Everyone who sins also commits lawlessness. Sin is lawlessness.

⁷If you do well, won’t it be lifted up? If you don’t do well, sin crouches at the door. Its desire is for you, but you are to rule over it.” ⁸Cain said to Abel, his brother, “Let’s go into the field.” While they were in the field, Cain rose up against Abel, his brother, and killed him.

⁹The LORD said to Cain, “Where is Abel, your brother?” He said, “I don’t know. Am I my brother’s keeper?”

¹⁰The LORD said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood cries to me from the ground. ¹¹Now you are cursed because of the ground, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand.

⁷Er, Judah’s firstborn, was wicked in the LORD’s sight. So the LORD killed him.

¹⁰The thing which he did was evil in the LORD’s sight, and he killed him also.

¹³Now the men of Sodom were exceedingly wicked and sinners against the LORD.

¹¹The earth was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.

⁵The LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of man’s heart was continually only evil. ⁶The LORD was sorry that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him in his heart.

²⁰The LORD said, “Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous,
