Romans 16:1

¹⁸Paul, having stayed after this many more days, took his leave of the brothers,^[+] and sailed from there for Syria, together with Priscilla and Aquila. He shaved his head in Cenchreae, for he had a vow.

⁹Let no one be enrolled as a widow under sixty years old, having been the wife of one man, ¹⁰being approved by good works, if she has brought up children, if she has been hospitable to strangers, if she has washed the saints’ feet, if she has relieved the afflicted, and if she has diligently followed every good work.

²²Seeing you have purified your souls in your obedience to the truth through the Spirit in sincere brotherly affection, love one another from the heart fervently, ²³having been born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the word of God, which lives and remains forever.

¹⁵And if a brother or sister is naked and in lack of daily food,

²the elder women as mothers; the younger as sisters, in all purity.

⁵⁰For whoever does the will of my Father who is in heaven, he is my brother, and sister, and mother.”

³⁰but he will receive one hundred times more now in this time: houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and land, with persecutions; and in the age to come eternal life.

¹Are we beginning again to commend ourselves? Or do we need, as do some, letters of commendation to you or from you?

³and Joanna, the wife of Chuzas, Herod’s steward; Susanna; and many others who served them^[+] from their possessions.
