Romans 10:4

²⁴So that the law has become our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

³For what the law couldn’t do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God did, sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh, ⁴that the ordinance of the law might be fulfilled in us who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

¹⁷“Don’t think that I came to destroy the law or the prophets. I didn’t come to destroy, but to fulfill. ¹⁸For most certainly, I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not even one smallest letter^[+] or one tiny pen stroke^[+] shall in any way pass away from the law, until all things are accomplished.

³⁸Be it known to you therefore, brothers,^[+] that through this man is proclaimed to you remission of sins; ³⁹and by him everyone who believes is justified from all things, from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.

¹⁷For the law was given through Moses. Grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ.

¹¹After the suffering of his soul, he will see the light^[+] and be satisfied. My righteous servant will justify many by the knowledge of himself; and he will bear their iniquities.

¹⁴For by one offering he has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.

¹Or don’t you know, brothers^[+] for I speak to men who know the law), that the law has dominion over a man for as long as he lives? ²For the woman that has a husband is bound by law to the husband while he lives, but if the husband dies, she is discharged from the law of the husband. ³So then if, while the husband lives, she is joined to another man, she would be called an adulteress. But if the husband dies, she is free from the law, so that she is no adulteress, though she is joined to another man. ⁴Therefore, my brothers, you also were made dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you would be joined to another, to him who was raised from the dead, that we might produce fruit to God.

²⁵whom God sent to be an atoning sacrifice^[+] through faith in his blood, for a demonstration of his righteousness through the passing over of prior sins, in God’s forbearance; ²⁶to demonstrate his righteousness at this present time, that he might himself be just and the justifier of him who has faith in Jesus.

²⁷Where then is the boasting? It is excluded. By what kind of law? Of works? No, but by a law of faith. ²⁸We maintain therefore that a man is justified by faith apart from the works of the law. ²⁹Or is God the God of Jews only? Isn’t he the God of Gentiles also? Yes, of Gentiles also, ³⁰since indeed there is one God who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith.

³¹Do we then nullify the law through faith? May it never be! No, we establish the law.

¹⁷which are a shadow of the things to come; but the body is Christ’s.
