Psalms 78:42

³⁴The children of Israel didn’t remember the LORD their God, who had delivered them out of the hand of all their enemies on every side;

¹¹They forgot his doings, his wondrous deeds that he had shown them.

²¹and brought your people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs, with wonders, with a strong hand, with an outstretched arm, and with great terror;

¹²Isn’t this the word that we spoke to you in Egypt, saying, ‘Leave us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians’? For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the wilderness.”

⁷Our fathers didn’t understand your wonders in Egypt. They didn’t remember the multitude of your loving kindnesses, but were rebellious at the sea, even at the Red Sea. ⁸Nevertheless he saved them for his name’s sake, that he might make his mighty power known. ⁹He rebuked the Red Sea also, and it was dried up; so he led them through the depths, as through a desert. ¹⁰He saved them from the hand of him who hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.

¹⁰to him who struck down the Egyptian firstborn, for his loving kindness endures forever; ¹¹and brought out Israel from among them, for his loving kindness endures forever; ¹²with a strong hand, and with an outstretched arm, for his loving kindness endures forever; ¹³to him who divided the Red Sea apart, for his loving kindness endures forever; ¹⁴and made Israel to pass through the middle of it, for his loving kindness endures forever; ¹⁵but overthrew Pharaoh and his army in the Red Sea, for his loving kindness endures forever;

⁹It shall be for a sign to you on your hand, and for a memorial between your eyes, that the LORD’s law may be in your mouth; for with a strong hand the LORD has brought you out of Egypt.

¹¹It will happen in that day that the Lord will set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant that is left of his people from Assyria, from Egypt, from Pathros, from Cush, from Elam, from Shinar, from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.

²¹Therefore the LORD heard, and was angry. A fire was kindled against Jacob, anger also went up against Israel, ²²because they didn’t believe in God, and didn’t trust in his salvation.

³⁰Thus the LORD saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians; and Israel saw the Egyptians dead on the seashore. ³¹Israel saw the great work which the LORD did to the Egyptians, and the people feared the LORD; and they believed in the LORD and in his servant Moses.
