Psalms 52:8

¹²The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree. He will grow like a cedar in Lebanon. ¹³They are planted in the LORD’s house. They will flourish in our God’s courts. ¹⁴They will still produce fruit in old age. They will be full of sap and green,

³He will be like a tree planted by the streams of water, that produces its fruit in its season, whose leaf also does not wither. Whatever he does shall prosper.

⁶His branches will spread, and his beauty will be like the olive tree, and his fragrance like Lebanon. ⁷Men will dwell in his shade. They will revive like the grain, and blossom like the vine. Their fragrance will be like the wine of Lebanon. ⁸Ephraim, what have I to do any more with idols? I answer, and will take care of him. I am like a green cypress tree; from me your fruit is found.”

⁵But I trust in your loving kindness. My heart rejoices in your salvation.

¹⁶The LORD called your name, “A green olive tree, beautiful with goodly fruit.” With the noise of a great roar he has kindled fire on it, and its branches are broken.

¹⁸Behold, the LORD’s eye is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his loving kindness,

²⁴For if you were cut out of that which is by nature a wild olive tree, and were grafted contrary to nature into a good olive tree, how much more will these, which are the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree?

¹¹The LORD takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who hope in his loving kindness.

³Your wife will be as a fruitful vine in the innermost parts of your house, your children like olive shoots around your table.
