Psalms 41:10

²⁷But bring those enemies of mine who didn’t want me to reign over them here, and kill them before me.’”

⁶Set a wicked man over him. Let an adversary stand at his right hand. ⁷When he is judged, let him come out guilty. Let his prayer be turned into sin. ⁸Let his days be few. Let another take his office. ⁹Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow. ¹⁰Let his children be wandering beggars. Let them be sought from their ruins. ¹¹Let the creditor seize all that he has. Let strangers plunder the fruit of his labor. ¹²Let there be no one to extend kindness to him, neither let there be anyone to have pity on his fatherless children. ¹³Let his posterity be cut off. In the generation following let their name be blotted out. ¹⁴Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered by the LORD. Don’t let the sin of his mother be blotted out. ¹⁵Let them be before the LORD continually, that he may cut off their memory from the earth; ¹⁶because he didn’t remember to show kindness, but persecuted the poor and needy man, the broken in heart, to kill them. ¹⁷Yes, he loved cursing, and it came to him. He didn’t delight in blessing, and it was far from him. ¹⁸He clothed himself also with cursing as with his garment. It came into his inward parts like water, like oil into his bones. ¹⁹Let it be to him as the clothing with which he covers himself, for the belt that is always around him. ²⁰This is the reward of my adversaries from the LORD, of those who speak evil against my soul. ²¹But deal with me, GOD the Lord,^[+] for your name’s sake, because your loving kindness is good, deliver me;

¹Be merciful to me, God, be merciful to me, for my soul takes refuge in you. Yes, in the shadow of your wings, I will take refuge, until disaster has passed.

⁸Your hand will find out all of your enemies. Your right hand will find out those who hate you. ⁹You will make them as a fiery furnace in the time of your anger. The LORD will swallow them up in his wrath. The fire shall devour them. ¹⁰You will destroy their descendants from the earth, their posterity from among the children of men.

³⁷I will pursue my enemies, and overtake them. I won’t turn away until they are consumed. ³⁸I will strike them through, so that they will not be able to rise. They shall fall under my feet. ³⁹For you have armed me with strength to the battle. You have subdued under me those who rose up against me. ⁴⁰You have also made my enemies turn their backs to me, that I might cut off those who hate me. ⁴¹They cried, but there was no one to save; even to the LORD, but he didn’t answer them. ⁴²Then I beat them small as the dust before the wind. I cast them out as the mire of the streets.

^3[+] But you, LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, and the one who lifts up my head.

²²Let their table before them become a snare. May it become a retribution and a trap. ²³Let their eyes be darkened, so that they can’t see. Let their backs be continually bent. ²⁴Pour out your indignation on them. Let the fierceness of your anger overtake them. ²⁵Let their habitation be desolate. Let no one dwell in their tents. ²⁶For they persecute him whom you have wounded. They tell of the sorrow of those whom you have hurt. ²⁷Charge them with crime upon crime. Don’t let them come into your righteousness. ²⁸Let them be blotted out of the book of life, and not be written with the righteous.
