Psalms 34:12

¹⁰For, “He who would love life and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit. ¹¹Let him turn away from evil and do good. Let him seek peace and pursue it. ¹²For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears open to their prayer; but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”

²⁰to love the LORD your God, to obey his voice, and to cling to him; for he is your life, and the length of your days, that you may dwell in the land which the LORD swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.

²that you might fear the LORD your God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command you—you, your son, and your son’s son, all the days of your life; and that your days may be prolonged.

¹³Also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy good in all his labor, is the gift of God.

¹⁶I will satisfy him with long life, and show him my salvation.”

⁶Many say, “Who will show us any good?” LORD, let the light of your face shine on us.

⁷Oh remember that my life is a breath. My eye will no more see good.

¹³This is the end of the matter. All has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments; for this is the whole duty of man.

⁴He asked life of you and you gave it to him, even length of days forever and ever.

³I searched in my heart how to cheer my flesh with wine, my heart yet guiding me with wisdom, and how to lay hold of folly, until I might see what it was good for the sons of men that they should do under heaven all the days of their lives.
