Psalms 31:15

⁷He said to them, “It isn’t for you to know times or seasons which the Father has set within his own authority.

¹For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven: ²a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; ³a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; ⁴a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; ⁵a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; ⁶a time to seek, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; ⁷a time to tear, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; ⁸a time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace.

¹Jesus said these things, then lifting up his eyes to heaven, he said, “Father, the time has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may also glorify you;

⁶Jesus therefore said to them, “My time has not yet come, but your time is always ready.

⁶Listen to my cry, for I am in desperate need. Deliver me from my persecutors, for they are too strong for me.

¹“Why aren’t times laid up by the Almighty? Why don’t those who know him see his days?

⁸Keep me as the apple of your eye. Hide me under the shadow of your wings, ⁹from the wicked who oppress me, my deadly enemies, who surround me.

⁶For I am already being offered, and the time of my departure has come.

³For the enemy pursues my soul. He has struck my life down to the ground. He has made me live in dark places, as those who have been long dead.

⁹Deliver me, LORD, from my enemies. I flee to you to hide me.
