Psalms 148:8

¹⁵He sends out his commandment to the earth. His word runs very swiftly. ¹⁶He gives snow like wool, and scatters frost like ashes. ¹⁷He hurls down his hail like pebbles. Who can stand before his cold? ¹⁸He sends out his word, and melts them. He causes his wind to blow, and the waters flow.

²¹Great hailstones, about the weight of a talent,^[+] came down out of the sky on people. People blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, for this plague was exceedingly severe.

⁸The fourth poured out his bowl on the sun, and it was given to him to scorch men with fire. ⁹People were scorched with great heat, and people blasphemed the name of God who has the power over these plagues. They didn’t repent and give him glory.

²⁰Praise the LORD, you angels of his, who are mighty in strength, who fulfill his word, obeying the voice of his word.

⁴But the LORD sent out a great wind on the sea, and there was a mighty storm on the sea, so that the ship was likely to break up.

²Hear, oh, hear the noise of his voice, the sound that goes out of his mouth. ³He sends it out under the whole sky, and his lightning to the ends of the earth. ⁴After it a voice roars. He thunders with the voice of his majesty. He doesn’t hold back anything when his voice is heard. ⁵God thunders marvelously with his voice. He does great things, which we can’t comprehend. ⁶For he says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth,’ likewise to the shower of rain, and to the showers of his mighty rain.

³⁵Fire came out from the LORD, and devoured the two hundred fifty men who offered the incense.

¹³Moses stretched out his rod over the land of Egypt, and the LORD brought an east wind on the land all that day, and all night; and when it was morning, the east wind brought the locusts.

⁴Thus the Lord GOD showed me: behold, the Lord GOD called for judgment by fire; and it dried up the great deep, and would have devoured the land.

²⁴Then the LORD rained on Sodom and on Gomorrah sulfur and fire from the LORD out of the sky.
