Psalms 13:4

²My God, I have trusted in you. Don’t let me be shamed. Don’t let my enemies triumph over me.

¹⁹They will fight against you, but they will not prevail against you; for I am with you”, says the LORD, “to rescue you.”

³A man shall not be established by wickedness, but the root of the righteous shall not be moved.

⁶He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress. I will not be shaken.

¹⁶“For these things I weep. My eye, my eye runs down with water, because the comforter who should refresh my soul is far from me. My children are desolate, because the enemy has prevailed.”

¹⁶For I said, “Don’t let them gloat over me, or exalt themselves over me when my foot slips.”

⁹For the Canaanites and all the inhabitants of the land will hear of it, and will surround us, and cut off our name from the earth. What will you do for your great name?”

¹²You will know that I, the LORD, have heard all your insults which you have spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying, ‘They have been laid desolate. They have been given to us to devour.’ ¹³You have magnified yourselves against me with your mouth, and have multiplied your words against me. I have heard it.” ¹⁴The Lord GOD says: “When the whole earth rejoices, I will make you desolate. ¹⁵As you rejoiced over the inheritance of the house of Israel because it was desolate, so I will do to you. You will be desolate, Mount Seir, and all Edom, even all of it. Then they will know that I am the LORD.’”

¹⁹Don’t let those who are my enemies wrongfully rejoice over me; neither let those who hate me without a cause wink their eyes.

²²Cast your burden on the LORD and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved.
