Psalms 127:2

¹²The sleep of a laboring man is sweet, whether he eats little or much; but the abundance of the rich will not allow him to sleep.

⁸In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you alone, LORD, make me live in safety.

¹⁸You will be secure, because there is hope. Yes, you will search, and will take your rest in safety.

⁵I laid myself down and slept. I awakened, for the LORD sustains me.

²⁶On this I awakened, and saw; and my sleep was sweet to me.

²⁰Therefore I began to cause my heart to despair concerning all the labor in which I had labored under the sun. ²¹For there is a man whose labor is with wisdom, with knowledge, and with skillfulness; yet he shall leave it for his portion to a man who has not labored for it. This also is vanity and a great evil. ²²For what does a man have of all his labor and of the striving of his heart, in which he labors under the sun? ²³For all his days are sorrows, and his travail is grief; yes, even in the night his heart takes no rest. This also is vanity.

²⁵“‘I will make with them a covenant of peace, and will cause evil animals to cease out of the land. They will dwell securely in the wilderness and sleep in the woods.

¹⁴I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and behold, all is vanity and a chasing after wind.

¹⁵She rises also while it is yet night, gives food to her household, and portions for her servant girls. ¹⁶She considers a field, and buys it. With the fruit of her hands, she plants a vineyard. ¹⁷She arms her waist with strength, and makes her arms strong. ¹⁸She perceives that her merchandise is profitable. Her lamp doesn’t go out by night.

⁵Behold, you have made my days hand widths. My lifetime is as nothing before you. Surely every man stands as a breath.” Selah. ⁶“Surely every man walks like a shadow. Surely they busy themselves in vain. He heaps up, and doesn’t know who shall gather.
