Psalms 120:2

¹Deliver me, LORD, from evil men. Preserve me from violent men: ²those who devise mischief in their hearts. They continually gather themselves together for war. ³They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent. Viper’s poison is under their lips. Selah.

²²Lying lips are an abomination to the LORD, but those who do the truth are his delight.

²Your tongue plots destruction, like a sharp razor, working deceitfully. ³You love evil more than good, lying rather than speaking the truth. Selah. ⁴You love all devouring words, you deceitful tongue.

¹God of my praise, don’t remain silent, ²for they have opened the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of deceit against me. They have spoken to me with a lying tongue.

⁵⁹Now the chief priests, the elders, and the whole council sought false testimony against Jesus, that they might put him to death, ⁶⁰and they found none. Even though many false witnesses came forward, they found none. But at last two false witnesses came forward ⁶¹and said, “This man said, ‘I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days.’”

⁶²The high priest stood up and said to him, “Have you no answer? What is this that these testify against you?”

¹¹Unrighteous witnesses rise up. They ask me about things that I don’t know about.
