Psalms 119:95

¹⁶⁷My soul has observed your testimonies. I love them exceedingly.

³¹I cling to your statutes, LORD. Don’t let me be disappointed.

⁶⁹The proud have smeared a lie upon me. With my whole heart, I will keep your precepts.

⁸⁵The proud have dug pits for me, contrary to your law. ⁸⁶All of your commandments are faithful. They persecute me wrongfully. Help me! ⁸⁷They had almost wiped me from the earth, but I didn’t forsake your precepts.

⁸He lies in wait near the villages. From ambushes, he murders the innocent. His eyes are secretly set against the helpless. ⁹He lurks in secret as a lion in his ambush. He lies in wait to catch the helpless. He catches the helpless when he draws him in his net. ¹⁰The helpless are crushed. They collapse. They fall under his strength.

²¹Therefore don’t yield to them, for more than forty men lie in wait for him, who have bound themselves under a curse to neither eat nor drink until they have killed him. Now they are ready, looking for the promise from you.”

⁶¹The ropes of the wicked bind me, but I won’t forget your law.
