Psalms 119:174

¹⁶⁶I have hoped for your salvation, LORD. I have done your commandments. ¹⁶⁷My soul has observed your testimonies. I love them exceedingly.

¹⁶I will delight myself in your statutes. I will not forget your word. GIMEL

⁴⁷I will delight myself in your commandments, because I love them.

¹⁶²I rejoice at your word, as one who finds great plunder.

¹¹¹I have taken your testimonies as a heritage forever, for they are the joy of my heart.

²but his delight is in the LORD’s ^[+] law. On his law he meditates day and night.

²²For I delight in God’s law after the inward person, ²³but I see a different law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity under the law of sin which is in my members. ²⁴What a wretched man I am! Who will deliver me out of the body of this death? ²⁵I thank God through Jesus Christ, our Lord! So then with the mind, I myself serve God’s law, but with the flesh, sin’s law.

²³But I am hard pressed between the two, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better.

²³Not only so, but ourselves also, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for adoption, the redemption of our body. ²⁴For we were saved in hope, but hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for that which he sees? ²⁵But if we hope for that which we don’t see, we wait for it with patience.

⁷⁷Let your tender mercies come to me, that I may live; for your law is my delight.
