Romans 8:23

²⁰For our citizenship is in heaven, from where we also wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, ²¹who will change the body of our humiliation to be conformed to the body of his glory, according to the working by which he is able even to subject all things to himself.

²For most certainly in this we groan, longing to be clothed with our habitation which is from heaven, ³if indeed being clothed, we will not be found naked. ⁴For indeed we who are in this tent do groan, being burdened, not that we desire to be unclothed, but that we desire to be clothed, that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life. ⁵Now he who made us for this very thing is God, who also gave to us the down payment of the Spirit.

²⁸so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin, but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.

¹⁴who is a pledge of our inheritance, to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of his glory.

¹³looking for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ,

³⁰Don’t grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

²⁴What a wretched man I am! Who will deliver me out of the body of this death?

⁵For we through the Spirit, by faith wait for the hope of righteousness.

³⁶For they can’t die any more, for they are like the angels and are children of God, being children of the resurrection.

²Beloved, now we are children of God. It is not yet revealed what we will be; but we know that when he is revealed, we will be like him, for we will see him just as he is.
