Psalms 10:3

⁴They pour out arrogant words. All the evildoers boast.

¹⁹I will tell my soul, “Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years. Take your ease, eat, drink, and be merry.”’

⁵Their buyers slaughter them and go unpunished. Those who sell them say, ‘Blessed be the LORD, for I am rich;’ and their own shepherds don’t pity them. ⁶For I will no more pity the inhabitants of the land,” says the LORD; “but, behold, I will deliver every one of the men into his neighbor’s hand and into the hand of his king. They will strike the land, and out of their hand I will not deliver them.”

⁷So I fed the flock to be slaughtered, especially the oppressed of the flock. I took for myself two staffs. The one I called “Favor” and the other I called “Union”, and I fed the flock. ⁸I cut off the three shepherds in one month; for my soul was weary of them, and their soul also loathed me.

¹⁰Are there yet treasures of wickedness in the house of the wicked, and a short ephah^[+] that is accursed? ¹¹Shall I tolerate dishonest scales, and a bag of deceitful weights? ¹²Her rich men are full of violence, her inhabitants speak lies, and their tongue is deceitful in their speech.

⁴Those who forsake the law praise the wicked; but those who keep the law contend with them.

²¹Yes, they opened their mouth wide against me. They said, “Aha! Aha! Our eye has seen it!”

⁹The enemy said, ‘I will pursue. I will overtake. I will divide the plunder. My desire will be satisfied on them. I will draw my sword. My hand will destroy them.’

⁶Those who trust in their wealth, and boast in the multitude of their riches—

²³Whom have you defied and blasphemed? Against whom have you exalted your voice and lifted up your eyes on high? Against the Holy One of Israel.

¹⁹and it happen, when he hears the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, “I shall have peace, though I walk in the stubbornness of my heart,” to destroy the moist with the dry.
