Proverbs 31:30

⁷The fear of the LORD ^[+] is the beginning of knowledge, but the foolish despise wisdom and instruction.

⁴but from the hidden person of the heart, in the incorruptible adornment of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in God’s sight. ⁵For this is how in the past the holy women who hoped in God also adorned themselves, being in subjection to their own husbands.

²²Like a gold ring in a pig’s snout, is a beautiful woman who lacks discretion.

¹³The fear of the LORD is to hate evil. I hate pride, arrogance, the evil way, and the perverse mouth.

²⁴For, “All flesh is like grass, and all of man’s glory like the flower in the grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls;

¹¹The LORD takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who hope in his loving kindness.

⁵Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Then each man will get his praise from God.

¹¹to bring Vashti the queen before the king wearing the royal crown, to show the people and the princes her beauty; for she was beautiful. ¹²But the queen Vashti refused to come at the king’s commandment by the eunuchs. Therefore the king was very angry, and his anger burned in him.

⁷that the proof of your faith, which is more precious than gold that perishes, even though it is tested by fire, may be found to result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ—

⁶They were both righteous before God, walking blamelessly in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord.
