Proverbs 22:10

¹³But those who are outside, God judges. “Put away the wicked man from among yourselves.”

⁵you are to deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

⁶Your boasting is not good. Don’t you know that a little yeast leavens the whole lump?

²⁰For lack of wood a fire goes out. Without gossip, a quarrel dies down. ²¹As coals are to hot embers, and wood to fire, so is a contentious man to kindling strife.

²⁴The proud and arrogant man—“Scoffer” is his name— he works in the arrogance of pride.

⁹Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, whom she had borne to Abraham, mocking. ¹⁰Therefore she said to Abraham, “Cast out this servant and her son! For the son of this servant will not be heir with my son, Isaac.”

⁵I will silence whoever secretly slanders his neighbor. I won’t tolerate one who is arrogant and conceited.

¹But when Sanballat heard that we were building the wall, he was angry, and was very indignant, and mocked the Jews. ²He spoke before his brothers and the army of Samaria, and said, “What are these feeble Jews doing? Will they fortify themselves? Will they sacrifice? Will they finish in a day? Will they revive the stones out of the heaps of rubbish, since they are burned?”

³Now Tobiah the Ammonite was by him, and he said, “What they are building, if a fox climbed up it, he would break down their stone wall.”

¹⁷If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the assembly. If he refuses to hear the assembly also, let him be to you as a Gentile or a tax collector.

⁶A fool’s lips come into strife, and his mouth invites beatings.

²⁸One of the sons of Joiada, the son of Eliashib the high priest, was son-in-law to Sanballat the Horonite; therefore I chased him from me.
