Proverbs 20:10

²³The LORD detests differing weights, and dishonest scales are not pleasing.

¹A false balance is an abomination to the LORD, but accurate weights are his delight.

³⁵“‘You shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in measures of length, of weight, or of quantity.

¹⁰Are there yet treasures of wickedness in the house of the wicked, and a short ephah^[+] that is accursed? ¹¹Shall I tolerate dishonest scales, and a bag of deceitful weights?

¹³You shall not have in your bag diverse weights, one heavy and one light. ¹⁴You shall not have in your house diverse measures, one large and one small. ¹⁵You shall have a perfect and just weight. You shall have a perfect and just measure, that your days may be long in the land which the LORD your God gives you.

¹¹Honest balances and scales are the LORD’s; all the weights in the bag are his work.

⁸But for the cowardly, unbelieving, sinners,abominable, ^[+] murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers,^[+] idolaters, and all liars, their part is in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”

⁴Hear this, you who desire to swallow up the needy, and cause the poor of the land to fail, ⁵saying, ‘When will the new moon be gone, that we may sell grain? And the Sabbath, that we may market wheat, making the ephah^[+] small, and the shekel^[+] and dealing falsely with balances of deceit; ⁶that we may buy the poor for silver, and the needy for a pair of sandals, and sell the sweepings with the wheat?’” ⁷The LORD has sworn by the pride of Jacob, “Surely I will never forget any of their works.

²⁵You shall burn the engraved images of their gods with fire. You shall not covet the silver or the gold that is on them, nor take it for yourself, lest you be snared in it; for it is an abomination to the LORD your God. ²⁶You shall not bring an abomination into your house and become a devoted thing like it. You shall utterly detest it. You shall utterly abhor it; for it is a devoted thing.
