Proverbs 11:1

¹³You shall not have in your bag diverse weights, one heavy and one light. ¹⁴You shall not have in your house diverse measures, one large and one small. ¹⁵You shall have a perfect and just weight. You shall have a perfect and just measure, that your days may be long in the land which the LORD your God gives you. ¹⁶For all who do such things, all who do unrighteously, are an abomination to the LORD your God.

¹¹Honest balances and scales are the LORD’s; all the weights in the bag are his work.

²³The LORD detests differing weights, and dishonest scales are not pleasing.

³⁵“‘You shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in measures of length, of weight, or of quantity. ³⁶You shall have just balances, just weights, a just ephah,^[+] and a just hin.^[+] I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt.

¹⁰Differing weights and differing measures, both of them alike are an abomination to the LORD.

⁷A merchant has dishonest scales in his hand. He loves to defraud.

¹⁰“You shall have just balances, a just ephah,^[+] and a just bath. ¹¹The ephah and the bath shall be of one measure, that the bath may contain one tenth of a homer,^[+] and the ephah one tenth of a homer. Its measure shall be the same as the homer. ¹²The shekel^[+] be twenty gerahs.^[+] Twenty shekels plus twenty-five shekels plus fifteen shekels shall be your mina.

⁵saying, ‘When will the new moon be gone, that we may sell grain? And the Sabbath, that we may market wheat, making the ephah^[+] small, and the shekel^[+] and dealing falsely with balances of deceit; ⁶that we may buy the poor for silver, and the needy for a pair of sandals, and sell the sweepings with the wheat?’”

¹⁰Are there yet treasures of wickedness in the house of the wicked, and a short ephah^[+] that is accursed? ¹¹Shall I tolerate dishonest scales, and a bag of deceitful weights?
