Proverbs 2:1

¹My son, don’t forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments,

³to receive instruction in wise dealing, in righteousness, justice, and equity;

¹Listen, sons, to a father’s instruction. Pay attention and know understanding;

¹My son, keep my words. Lay up my commandments within you.

⁶These words, which I command you today, shall be on your heart; ⁷and you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up. ⁸You shall bind them for a sign on your hand, and they shall be for frontlets between your eyes. ⁹You shall write them on the door posts of your house and on your gates.

⁴⁷If anyone listens to my sayings and doesn’t believe, I don’t judge him. For I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. ⁴⁸He who rejects me, and doesn’t receive my sayings, has one who judges him. The word that I spoke will judge him in the last day.

²⁰My son, attend to my words. Turn your ear to my sayings. ²¹Let them not depart from your eyes. Keep them in the center of your heart. ²²For they are life to those who find them, and health to their whole body.

⁹How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word. ¹⁰With my whole heart I have sought you. Don’t let me wander from your commandments. ¹¹I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.

²¹Bind them continually on your heart. Tie them around your neck.

¹²I haven’t gone back from the commandment of his lips. I have treasured up the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.
