Proverbs 4:20

¹My son, pay attention to my wisdom. Turn your ear to my understanding,

³Turn your ear, and come to me. Hear, and your soul will live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

²⁰My son, keep your father’s commandment, and don’t forsake your mother’s teaching. ²¹Bind them continually on your heart. Tie them around your neck.

¹My son, keep my words. Lay up my commandments within you.

¹Hear my teaching, my people. Turn your ears to the words of my mouth.

¹²So teach us to count our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.

⁵While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them. Behold, a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Listen to him.”
