Proverbs 14:6

⁵But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

¹¹He answered them, “To you it is given to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven, but it is not given to them. ¹²For whoever has, to him will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever doesn’t have, from him will be taken away even that which he has.

²⁵At that time, Jesus answered, “I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you hid these things from the wise and understanding, and revealed them to infants. ²⁶Yes, Father, for so it was well-pleasing in your sight. ²⁷All things have been delivered to me by my Father. No one knows the Son, except the Father; neither does anyone know the Father, except the Son and he to whom the Son desires to reveal him.

¹⁸Let no one deceive himself. If anyone thinks that he is wise among you in this world, let him become a fool that he may become wise. ¹⁹For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, “He has taken the wise in their craftiness.”

²But if anyone thinks that he knows anything, he doesn’t yet know as he ought to know.

⁹They are all plain to him who understands, right to those who find knowledge.

³knowing this first, that in the last days mockers will come, walking after their own lusts ⁴and saying, “Where is the promise of his coming? For, from the day that the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.” ⁵For they willfully forget that there were heavens from of old, and an earth formed out of water and amid water by the word of God,

¹²Do you see a man wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him.

²⁰Turn to the law and to the covenant! If they don’t speak according to this word, surely there is no morning for them.

²A fool has no delight in understanding, but only in revealing his own opinion.
