Proverbs 10:16

¹⁰Tell the righteous that it will be well with them, for they will eat the fruit of their deeds. ¹¹Woe to the wicked! Disaster is upon them, for the deeds of their hands will be paid back to them.

²³For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

²⁷Don’t work for the food which perishes, but for the food which remains to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For God the Father has sealed him.”

¹⁰For God is not unrighteous, so as to forget your work and the labor of love which you showed toward his name, in that you served the saints, and still do serve them.

⁵⁸Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the Lord’s work, because you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

¹⁸Wicked people earn deceitful wages, but one who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward. ¹⁹He who is truly righteous gets life. He who pursues evil gets death.

³⁰The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life. He who is wise wins souls.

¹⁷Even so, every good tree produces good fruit, but the corrupt tree produces evil fruit. ¹⁸A good tree can’t produce evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree produce good fruit.

⁷Don’t be deceived. God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. ⁸For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption. But he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. ⁹Let’s not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season if we don’t give up.

³³“Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree corrupt and its fruit corrupt; for the tree is known by its fruit. ³⁴You offspring of vipers, how can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.
