Numbers 26:51

⁴⁶all those who were counted were six hundred three thousand five hundred fifty.

⁹Who doesn’t know that in all these, the LORD’s hand has done this, ¹⁰in whose hand is the life of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind?

²⁶a beka^[+] a head, that is, half a shekel, according to the shekel^[+] of the sanctuary, for everyone who passed over to those who were counted, from twenty years old and upward, for six hundred three thousand five hundred fifty men.

³⁷The children of Israel traveled from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand on foot who were men, in addition to children.

²³You also multiplied their children as the stars of the sky, and brought them into the land concerning which you said to their fathers that they should go in to possess it.

²¹Moses said, “The people, among whom I am, are six hundred thousand men on foot; and you have said, ‘I will give them meat, that they may eat a whole month.’

¹⁴Behold, he breaks down, and it can’t be built again. He imprisons a man, and there can be no release.

²⁰He removes the speech of those who are trusted, and takes away the understanding of the elders. ²¹He pours contempt on princes, and loosens the belt of the strong. ²²He uncovers deep things out of darkness, and brings out to light the shadow of death. ²³He increases the nations, and he destroys them. He enlarges the nations, and he leads them captive.

²⁰You led your people like a flock, by the hand of Moses and Aaron.

³²These are those who were counted of the children of Israel by their fathers’ houses. All who were counted of the camps according to their armies were six hundred three thousand five hundred fifty.
