Mark 6:30

¹⁰The apostles, when they had returned, told him what things they had done. He took them and withdrew apart to a desert region of^[+] a city called Bethsaida.

¹⁷The seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in your name!”

²Now the names of the twelve apostles are these. The first, Simon, who is called Peter; Andrew, his brother; James the son of Zebedee; John, his brother;

¹⁸When they had come to him, he said to them, “You yourselves know, from the first day that I set foot in Asia, how I was with you all the time, ¹⁹serving the Lord with all humility, with many tears, and with trials which happened to me by the plots of the Jews; ²⁰how I didn’t shrink from declaring to you anything that was profitable, teaching you publicly and from house to house, ²¹testifying both to Jews and to Greeks repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus.

⁶Likewise, exhort the younger men to be sober minded. ⁷In all things show yourself an example of good works. In your teaching, show integrity, seriousness, incorruptibility,

¹⁴When the hour had come, he sat down with the twelve apostles.

¹⁰Now they were Mary Magdalene, Joanna, and Mary the mother of James. The other women with them told these things to the apostles.

⁵The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.”

⁷He called to himself the twelve, and began to send them out two by two; and he gave them authority over the unclean spirits. ⁸He commanded them that they should take nothing for their journey, except a staff only: no bread, no wallet, no money in their purse, ⁹but to wear sandals, and not put on two tunics. ¹⁰He said to them, “Wherever you enter into a house, stay there until you depart from there. ¹¹Whoever will not receive you nor hear you, as you depart from there, shake off the dust that is under your feet for a testimony against them. Assuredly, I tell you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!”

¹²They went out and preached that people should repent. ¹³They cast out many demons, and anointed many with oil who were sick and healed them.

²shepherd the flock of God which is among you, exercising the oversight, not under compulsion, but voluntarily; not for dishonest gain, but willingly; ³not as lording it over those entrusted to you, but making yourselves examples to the flock.
