Matthew 5:2

³⁵Philip opened his mouth, and beginning from this Scripture, preached to him about Jesus.

²⁰He lifted up his eyes to his disciples, and said: “Blessed are you who are poor, for God’s Kingdom is yours. ²¹Blessed are you who hunger now, for you will be filled. Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh. ²²Blessed are you when men hate you, and when they exclude and mock you, and throw out your name as evil, for the Son of Man’s sake. ²³Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, for behold, your reward is great in heaven, for their fathers did the same thing to the prophets. ²⁴“But woe to you who are rich! For you have received your consolation. ²⁵Woe to you, you who are full now, for you will be hungry. Woe to you who laugh now, for you will mourn and weep. ²⁶Woe,^[+] when^[+] men speak well of you, for their fathers did the same thing to the false prophets.

³⁴Peter opened his mouth and said, “Truly I perceive that God doesn’t show favoritism;

³⁵that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through the prophet, saying, “I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things hidden from the foundation of the world.”

⁸Open your mouth for the mute, in the cause of all who are left desolate. ⁹Open your mouth, judge righteously, and serve justice to the poor and needy.”

¹⁹Pray for me, that utterance may be given to me in opening my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the Good News,

⁶Hear, for I will speak excellent things. The opening of my lips is for right things.

¹⁴But when Paul was about to open his mouth, Gallio said to the Jews, “If indeed it were a matter of wrong or of wicked crime, you Jews, it would be reasonable that I should bear with you;

¹Hear my teaching, my people. Turn your ears to the words of my mouth. ²I will open my mouth in a parable. I will utter dark sayings of old,
